Bekka Fink is the composer/lyricist/lead vocal/guitar of the Frogland Orchestra. After years of working with other peoples' bands and theater companies, Bekka realized that she needed to write and sing her mind and heart about the spiritual, emotional, and environmental state of Mother Earth and her creatures. Her music is fueled by her passions for frogs(and other slimy things), the sacred wildness and importance of feminine energy, and helping children to receive and share love.

Most recent appearances as a solo performer, collaborator, and band leader include: a tour in New York City where she performed at The Manhattan Theatre Source, The Brecht Forum (in Make Art, Not War with Theaters Against War), a Puppet performance of Lysistrata with The Messenger Theatre Company (as part of The Lysistrata Project) at the United Nations, and Guardians of The Earth at One Arm Red in Brooklyn (in collaboration with The Strike Anywhere Ensemble and members of The Walter Thompson Orchestra).

Other appearances: New York City-The Supper Club, The Village Gate, NY Theater Workshop, Manhattan Theater Club, The Metropolitan Museum of Art (Tom O’Horgan, director, in Harry Partch’s, Oedipus), and HERE (The Walter Thompson Orchestra). Los Angeles-Arcadia (The Children Of The World Benefit). Bay Area-The Starry Plough, The Last Day Saloon, The Paradise Lounge, The IMAGINE Peace Event (Golden Gate Park), and The Launch Party for SpiralMuse (Womens Building, SF), Enricos, Jupiter, The Shattuck Down-Low, ODC, and roles at Theatreworks, Napa repertory Theater, and The Shotgun Players (Medea). Bekka has also toured nationally, and abroad in Germany and Thailand.

Bekka's most recent projects include The Storytelling and Teaparty ceremony (11th Annual), a Napa Repertory Company original opera production for the opening of The Quintessa Winery, and work on a new record with DJ Henry Navarro.

She is currently touring in the San Francisco Mime Troupe’s Summer and Fall production of Veronique of the Mounties.

Bekka’s compositions have been influenced by the music of Prince, Nirvana, The Beatles, Alanis Morrisette, Blondie, Tom Waits, modern classical composer, Aaron Copland, and baroque composer, Henry Purcell.
